Hydromining operations place unique demands on hose systems. This places significant stress on hose covers and end connections, often resulting in premature failures.
Hydromining hoses are also typically supplied in long lengths to provide operators with the flexibility required to reposition monitors as mining progresses. These long hose runs must remain flexible without compromising pressure capability, durability or reliability.
Many operations rely on conventional industrial hose or layflat hose systems that are not designed for the demanding conditions associated with hydromining. These solutions often suffer from excessive external wear, limited service life and end retention failures when subjected to high pressures and constant movement.
